Matt Shaffer, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois and Colorado.
In addition to 8 years in private practice, Matt also worked for a group mental health practice focused on the needs of adults for 3 years, and as a school social worker at a Chicago-area public middle school for 10 years.
Prior to clinical social work, Matt taught upper elementary grades in the Boston Public Schools and worked as a Case Manager for adults with disabilities at Goodwill Industries.
Matt was awarded his Master’s degree from University of Chicago in 2007, and his Bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College in 2001.
Self-expression through music and the arts remains an important part of Matt’s life, along with enjoying the outdoors (especially athletics).
Above all else, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
